To complete unification, an ExternalIdentity with an identifier value from each CMMS system must be added to any entity that relates to a Work Order. There is more than one way to accomplish this, but the steps might look like:
- Sync or import places (Buildings, Floors, Spaces) from each CMMS source connector. Places often merge automatically on their matching Identities:
- Buildings merge on the PostalAddressIdentity (address entered in the source connector place mapping)
- Floors merge on the FloorLevelIdentity (Floor Level configured in the source connector place mapping)
- Spaces merge on the SpaceCode (imported from the source connector)
- Sync or import assets (Things, Collections) from each CMMS source connector. This will require asset types to be manually mapped between the source and Mapped ontology.
- Assets may be unified via Mapped Expert Center
- Alternatively, assets may be unified via the CSV Identities connector if you only sync assets from one connector, but know the identifiers for the assets from the other connector.
