What are required field mappings?

The source CMMS uses its own values for fields like status, priority, type, trade, repair center, problem description, and more. The destination CMMS uses different values for the same concepts.

Field mappings tell Mapped how to translate between the two. For example:

  • Source priority "High" → Destination priority "1"
  • Source status "On Hold" → Destination priority "Request On Hold"

If a Work Order has a value that hasn't been mapped, the destination connector doesn't know what to do with it, and the Work Order is skipped and not synced.

Required mappings vary by connector but typically include:

  • Status
  • Priority
  • Type or Trade
  • Sector or Category
